We are proud supporters of local produce, ensuring our customers get the best of daily fresh fruit and vegetables sourced directly from local farms. They get the best of both worlds at our stores, with our wide range of popular international products in addition to local ones, such as cashews purchased from promising local start up brands.
VIP’s strong sense of community is reflected not only in our support of local farmers and local goods, but also in our role in generating jobs and providing support and opportunities to talented young graduates from local universities. More than 80% of our staff are local recruits, hired and trained to fill roles across different segments of the business, from merchandising to the Head Office, placing graduates with management potential in administrative work where they will get suitable training.
